There’s a new camera category in town. It’s EVIL, and it’s going to kick your DSLR’s tail. EVIL stands for Electronic Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens, and is our favorite acronym for cameras like the Olympus Pen, the Lumix GF1 and the Samsung NX10. These small, mirrorless, finderless cameras can fit in a pocket and outperform bulky DSLRs. Here’s why your next camera will probably be EVIL.
A big factor for me when I was deciding which SLR to get was how it felt. I hate little point and shoots and I don't see the point of having such a tiny body if you're using a lens that winds up being 3X it's size.

The sensors are too small to really compete with DSLRs. From what I understand these cameras are also pretty slow. Slow and camera should not be said in the same sentence.
I think the idea of larger sensors in smaller bodies will get there someday. I'm just not sold on where the tech is right now. I also really really like my DSLR and it's four years old now. So.
