There better be some major plot twists because they are serving up the obvious in dump truck loads.

I DVRed but didn't catch Human target yet. So is it worth my time?

I thought for a pilot - it was pretty good. In the Burn Notice, White Collar vein of shows...

I enjoyed both, 24 and Human Target.

I wasn't impressed with Human Target. I mainly watched it for the main actor, who I knew from Boston Legal, and was really hoping it would be better than it was. I'll continue to get my action-comedy fix from Chuck.

Last night's 24 was insane. It's shaping up to be a very interesting season just because there are so many wild cards. I was skeptical about Prinze joining the cast, but his character won me over when he cut off Hassan's car to save him from the explosion. I like that Hastings seems to recognize and appreciate Jack's contribution, and that he seems like pretty reasonable guy. And Renee... holy crap. Talk about a wild card.

Enjoyed the start to the season. Thought Renee was a little over the top though. I liked her last year but thought she went to psycho.

Judging from the fact that no one has commented in this thread for quite a while, this seems appropriate:

“24’s” time is almost up.

20th Century Fox TV and Fox appear ready to end the long-running hit after this season, the show’s eighth.

Studio and network execs declined comment -- but it’s believed that the final decision will be made in the next day or two. Move is not a huge surprise, but still reps the end of an era for Fox.

“24” helped usher in Fox’s ratings surge in the 2000s, as the franchise -- along with “American Idol” and “House,” among other series -- led the network’s adults 18-49 ratings crown.

But the cost of producing “24” has continued to increase, while ratings have dipped. A one-time critical darling, “24” has also received its share of knocks from reviewers this season.

The studio is said to be considering shopping “24” to other nets -- but given the thriller’s age and price tag, it’s believed that the interest from other outlets will be limited.

But even as bell tolls for “24,” the franchise is far from over. Sutherland and the “24” team have been keen on turning the show into a movie property, and have made major strides in recent months toward making that long-term goal a reality.

Can't say I'm surprised. Rumors are that NBC is trying to pick it up.
