I don't watch the show, but saw on Facebook that Liberty grad Dave Pittman made it through the first round on Idol. He was in Crimson Flood while he was here. I had a class with him in 06. Pretty cool.

LU produces or attracts a ridiculous amount of singers. I'd be interested to know if there were any kind of statistics to support this vs other schools. Minus performing arts based schools.

Should be noted that in 06, Crimson Flood was a great band. It is no where near the boy band crap that they turned to over the last 2 years.

This makes me overjoyed about having them at our church in a couple of weeks then...oh well

No offense intended to anyone, because we are all entitled to our own musical tastes, but I wouldn't worry about whether a group will minister to my congregation based on the opinion of one college student pz.

I need to tell you, most of our church are made up of 30 and ups, more ups than 30's. with a some young couples and teenages sprinkled in.

This year the boy band factor has been toned down A LOT. They are more of a pop/rock group at this point, and will be very entertaining for your church. They lost the three members that made them so "boy-band-ish" for the last couple years that these guys experienced. I would fully endorse them for your church, if my opinion matters. They're not my favorite, but they're less N'Sync than they were a couple years ago. I'd say they're like a male version of Barlow Girl, if that makes sense. Kinda rock music, but more pop music, upbeat, family friendly.

Yeah, two of the three boy band frontmen are gone this year, and everyone at least plays an instrument.

Also Anthony Johnson, one of my old roomates and member of crimson flood made it to one of the final stages on american idol. I don't know if he made it to Hollywood. But I do remember him telling me he won amirilo idol before going to Denver for his audition. That was a good year for crimsonflood before they got kicked off for boybandS

OK, someone forgot to tell Ellen that she was supposed to bringing some comic relief to the show. Instead she is the worst judge of anything I've ever seen. She has me wishing Paula would return ... yeah, it is that bad.

It is going to be ugly next year if they don't boot Ellen and bring in a quality replacement for Simon.

And yes, I know it is karaoke.
