I thought we had just a general iphone thread but whatever, couldnt find it.

Ok...I bought a 3GS Iphone unlocked it jailbroke it and now using it on a prepaid Tmobile plan, really really cheap compared to AT&T...service with Tmobile hasnt been bad yet...

Few questions

1. Does Tmobile have any towers locally other then using AT&T or do they always share around here.

2. Can I connect to my Ipod touch via bluetooth for p2p games?

I'm in Lynchburg and have T-Mobile. My phone always shows me being on the T-Mobile network.

1. No. AT&T and T-Mobile share the GSM network in Lynchburg.

2. Yes.

Note that should AT&T ever turn on 3G service in this area, you won't get it with T-Mobile. I know you probably don't care since coverage stinks anyway and T-Mobile is significantly cheaper. Believe me, I understand. I'm just saying.

Also note that by jailbreaking, you've left your phone vulnerable to a few worms and whatnot. Nothing has hit the U.S. yet, but it was a problem in Australia for jailbroken iPhones. It looks like the phone attackers are distracted with Android right now, though.

That's all I've got, I think.
