And we wasted all this time on healthcare?
A STAR primed to explode in a blast that could wipe out the Earth was revealed by astronomers yesterday.
It will self-destruct in an explosion called a supernova with the force of 20 billion billion billion megatons of TNT.
New studies show the star, called T Pyxidis, is much closer than previously thought at 3,260 light-years away - a short hop in galactic terms.

Ha, well, take that Al Gore, I'm going to buy an SUV & keep it running all night and by incandescent light bulbs by the bushel.

The Bad Astronomy blog says no:
Discover's Bad Astronomy Blog wrote:Ahem. Except, really, no. I rolled my eyes when I read that bit. A Type Ia does put out more high-energy radiation than a Type II supernova, which is caused when a massive star’s core collapses and the outer layers are ejected. That’s what most people think of when they hear about a supernova. Those have to be really close to hurt us, certainly closer than 25 light years. But even with their added power, a Type Ia just doesn’t have the oomph needed to destroy our ozone layer (as the press release indicates) from 3300 light years away. It would have to be far closer than that.

"ya'll" sounds even more stupid when it's typed and I have to read it.

Is the apostrophe in the right place? That would mean it was "ya all".

It depends... if you are being "gramatically correct" it's y'all, since it's you all. If you're being southern and say "ya" instead of "you" anyways, then why not put it after ya and make it ya'll. That's contracting it the way you'd say it, so...

Even dumber than y'all is "y'alls." That's like making a plural even more plural.

Laughing at geeks went out of style in the 90's. I'd expect you to be a little more on top of what's socially acceptable.
But, laugh if you will. We own the world now.

Pinning this on us? No. This is NYC and surrounding NJ areas among Italian mobs, Guidos and people inside a pizza shop. Hoboken, Roselle, etc. Western North Jersey is much better at avoiding this retarded lingo.
Pennsylvania is a very dumb state, especially from that Easton/Bangor area. Dont deny it.
