Bear kills militants in Kashmir

My favorite line:

"The militants had assault rifles but were taken by surprise - police found the remains of pudding they had made to eat when the bear attacked."

Methinks that was not pudding they found.

How could the reporter not tell us what kind of Bear it was? Lame reporting. They could have at least mentioned what bears inhabit that region.
