IPHONE APP IS AMPING UP CRITICISM

PepsiCo Inc. is facing criticism for an iPhone application that promises to help men "score" with two dozen stereotypes of women by giving users pickup lines and a scoreboard to keep track of their conquests.

In response to the criticism, the company -- which is using the app "Amp up before you score" to market its Amp energy drink -- said on Twitter that the app tries to show the "humorous lengths guys go 2 pick up women." But the company is sticking by the app, which was released this month.

The pandora app on blackberrry is awesome. I assume apple has one too. There's no skipping limits that I've found, unlike the web based version. It's a must have at the gym.

HMO says there's a skip limit. He must be a music snob to get that high.

Even though it's on my phone, I've left Pandora alone because I always get stuck having to suffer through something I don't like.

I've been using AccuRadio a ton at work. It's basically like XM or Sirius, where it has a bunch of themed stations. Although it doesn't have every type of music yet and you don't have a ton of control (no preferences or anything), it has a huge library of albums and unlimited skips.

But you get to listen to a ton of good stuff and find a bunch of new stuff, like you would with Pandora. And it's a free app. I love it, I've been hitting the power ballads station hard the last couple days.

I have downloaded exactly 0 apps to my Blackberry, but this would definitely be my first. How do I get it?!

JK...that might be the saddest news I've heard all day....you are only experiencing about 1/3 of what your Blackberry can do to make your life easier until you add some key apps....look at our blackberry thread

The only apps I have that I used are for Twitter, Facebook, and Pandora.

You can also go to pandora.com on your phone and it'll automatically download.

YouVersion rocks! I've been integrating its new Live feature for our church. Of course, I'll only be doing that for another week or so.

When I go to Pandora from my Bb, it tells me that it requires OS 4.3 or higher! How do I update?

Other apps I use consistently:
Infopedia
AccuWeather
NFL app
Tweed (Twitter app)

I've got a bunch others, but I don't really use them. I'm sure I'll eventually get around to using one of my maps, like Google or Where, but I haven't traveled outside of the Lynchburg area in a while.

Where used to be awesome. But recent updates have taken away the best features, like showing you the closest restaurants to your location and giving you the yelp reviews. Now it's pretty much just good for movie times.
