You be the judge. I'd still spring for the Samsung for the 4GB of RAM and superior CPU though, I learned my lesson last time when I opted to upgrade other things and just have a so-so CPU and RAM...

Word on the street is that PC laptops & desktops are about to take another dive due to overproduction estimate for the 4th quarter in relation to demand out side of low end netbooks.
Apple certainly did a clever marketing run to distract folks away from noticing that Windows 7 seriously closes the gap with Apple.

Windows 7 is pretty awesome. Been running the release candidate for quite a while now. Other than the mysterious blue screen of death I was getting off and on for 3 days last week (don't know what happened there, didn't install anything to screw it up, not even windows updates and it just stopped doing it all on its own) it has worked like a charm.

I got a MacBook Pro last week. It is by far the best computer I've ever had.

You could save some coin if you waited another week ... but you had no way of knowing that. I'm jealous. I was about to buy one myself when this whole layoff deal occurred.

I think he's given up on the internet. No blog, no twitter, no facebook, no flamefans and I'm sure there's others.
