turns on, no picture. doesn't even light up. not sure about sound as i turned off the speakers and don't have access to the menu.
2 years old. off to call the company and complain tomorrow and do my normal "i will make sure everyone i know knows to never buy one of your televisions" spiel that works from time to time. the key is not to ever yell and be calm.

thats the thing...the vizio gets the most use at about 3-4 hours a day. the others are rarely ever used and were actually a complete waste of me to purchase....

I think Scorcho had a problem with his Vizio that he got fixed. Maybe he'll chime in and tell you if they covered the repair or not.

well i've gone through quite a bit of vizio customer service.
i bought this tv off tigerdirect. it was a refurb. when i first got it, it had terrible burn in on the bottom of the screen. i called immediately and they sent a new one right away. the new one ALSO had burn in on it. i called once again, and they took care of me right away. even told me they were sending me a new model refurb. i was satisfied. now this tv for 2 years has been absolutely solid with no problems whatsoever.
so i'm hoping to play that card as well.... we'll see.
in the end i spent 900 bucks on it and i had a 42" plasma for 1.12 a day. we'll see though.

however, i'm probably picking it up at sams. probably no vizio as i walked into 2 tv repair places and like 1/3 of the tv's in there were lg's/vizios eek.

i would think this was partially due to the fact that lg's and vizios are alot more common in homes as well?

no, he just said that they are junk. i even asked if he was an authorized repair guy of that brand and he said now, he's sony/mitsu/toshiba/panasonic/rca and a few others that he does warranty repair on.
he said its never the same part in a tv. he'll get 3 of the same model vizio in and each will have a different main board.
as i looked on the backs of half of them, none of them were older than 3 years. most of the other tv's in the place were older plasmas and projections. then i went to the other shop and it was more of the same.
