Dude has been in office for 9 months, and accomplished diddly squat in the world arena. It's a shame too, because most of the other Nobel Prizes (science, literature, etc.) are well thought out and recipients are usually deserving.

Their "rational" seems to be centered on all the supposedly great things Obama WANTS to do and is TRYING to do rather than any actual accomplishment.

Now he can join such luminaries as Yassir Arafat, Al Gore (the first recipient who made it his goal to make the quality of life worse for the average person) Jimmy Carter, and the UN Peacekeeping Forces (you know, the ones that went to villages to 'maintain the peace' and wound up raping girls and committing even worse crimes).

All you need to know about the award is that Obama was nominated after being in office for less than two weeks.

Whatever.

What makes it worse is the the nominations deadline was TWO WEEKS after he was inaugurated. So, at that point in time, what was it that spurred someone to nominate him? And who was it that nominated him? To be fair, all kinds of people can get nominated for this, so it doesn't really surprise me that someone got Obama on the short list. But for him to win...

That was pretty funny, but that guy does a terrible Obama impression. I don't think he's even trying to sound different than himself.

His previous ones sounded much more like Obama....but yeah, this one he didn't try as hard.

Obama is making a joke of himself and our country. Can we please just give him a lead role in a movie, so he can quit and we can have someone that knows what he's doing in office.

In an related note, I find it ironic that Obama wins the nobel peace prize the same day we launched a war against the aliens.

Nominations for the prize have to be submitted by February 1st. So, he'd been in office for all of 12 days at that point.

So it must be based on his work to bring peace to his home city as a senator right? Oh wait. Kids are beating each other to death with two by fours there.

Um, so it must be based on his campaign promises? I guess?

I am training for a race in the spring and hope to be competitive. By this same logic, they should just mail me the 1st place trophy and prize money now.
