apparently there are roughly 2.5M people there in DC and the city is entirely shut down...

There is another one planned on Oct. 11, I might be there for that one.

I still refuse to pay any attention to tea party people until they change the historically inaccurate name. Whiskey Rebellion is a much more accurate choice.

I think the result of those respective events is keeping the name where it is.

That doesn't have a very good cadence to it, you might want to play around with the words a little.
