HD Broadcasts

I am convinced that the backlighting on most people's first HD televisions will be burned out long before most of the content we watch is being broadcast in HD. Seriously. It just doesn't seem like any progress is being made.

I realize the technical limitations still being faced by broadcasters, but it's painful watching SD broadcasts on an HDTV. The Baylor vs. Wake Forest game came on immediately after the LU/WVU broadcast ended and I felt like someone had popped my contacts in during the break.

SD is so gross.

If you think that TV stations are behind the times now, just wait a few years when HD becomes 3D.

i clean the screen once a week because of this crap....our local stations stretched everything out but then people with the boxes started complaining and they changed it....
