Those pictures are truely breath taking. I can't imagine the money and skill that it takes to produce such awesome photos.

I'm pretty sure that metal is from aluminum rims. Having worked in a foundry (and knowing how to google) I know the melting point is around 1220°F - may be even higher for the particular alloy. That much lower than steel's melting point - around 2400°F. that's why the aluminum ran off like that and the rest of it is still together.

Once again I am amazed at the job the fire fighters do. That kind of heat added to the already hot weather must absolutely wear them out. Yet they keep going back to it. My hat is off to them.
