I've been trying to download a few torrents and am only getting about 6/kB per second. Anyone have any tips on how to up that? From what I understand, it's average to get anywhere from 200-300 kB per sec.

only thing i know you can do to control it is to increase your upload or download speed. it depends on how many other people are sharing (aka seeding) the file. the fewer there are and the slower their upload speed, the slower your download speed will be. it's file sharing, you can't really control much in terms of download speed...

Are you using µTorrent? If so, there are some tweaks you can do to increase your speed. Search YouTube and you'll find videos with step by step instructions. I went from speeds around 75kb/s to 300+kb/s. All the speeds are definitely subject to the amount of seeders/leechers and the time of day. Your speeds should fly late at night.
