Worth a read. At the very least, print it out for your next trip to the porcelain throne.

Nice article, and he really loved the place. Contains this diddy about meeting Junior:
Jerry is a handsome devil, movie-star quality, and his wife, Becki, is simply beautiful. Their son Trey, a college student, is also handsome, helpful, and amazingly strong. I had to ask him to ratchet his handshake down a bit lest he kill me.
And this one about that region on the other side of the Mason-Dixon line.
I love the South. My life is all about travel and I am in every part of the nation week by week. There is no part of the nation that I dislike. Not one. Not even New York City, although that’s my least favorite. But for a large region, the southeastern United States, which means the states of the former Confederacy, plus most of Maryland, especially around Baltimore, plus Kentucky. For reasons I do not know, the southeastern USA has the most polite and friendly people on this planet.

On speaking at LU's graduation:
This might have been one of the two or three best days of my life.

Looks like Mr. Stein likes to use his travel time to stay in touch with his fans. I can't believe how much he wrote about that. I especially liked the story about JJ helping the girl get her laundry to the car. Pretty typical from what I know about him, but Ben seemed almost amazed by it. I do think he lost a bit of credibility raving about how handsome the Falwell men were.

Hey, I was there, too... I can remember the days of being in the stands thinking to myself... "don't throw it Gus, don't throw it Gus, don't throw.... ah, he threw it. Interception. That's just great."

I remember the Coastal fans outnumbering our fans on a cold, October night. Thank God I was in the pressbox, b/c there was no way I would've been there otherwise.

That game sucked. It was 85 degrees when we left the beach that Friday. Get up here and it's in the low 40's before kickoff.

I was at that game too...it was pretty lonely on the student side (and I think some of the band was upset because places we could go to eat after the game would be closed (except IHOP and Macado's
