Seriously though, absolutely remarkable. It took humans thousands of years of civilization to attain flight. And sixty-six years to harness that knowledge to put a man on the moon... and bring him back (along with the super-smart chimpanzees).

If you ever try to put yourself in Neil Armstrong's shoes, you have to conclude one thing... Dude's got a set of brass ones.

just an fyi. the reason that they ran out of fuel on the mission back wasn't because of miscalculations it was because they had to land further than they had anticipated because there were spacecraft sitting in the spot they were supposed to land...
