Do you guys have any suggestions on some Free Video editing software I can download? I am very unfamiliar with video editing, but I need to do some things for my mom.

She has video files everywhere on here computer. I need to import them all to one program, where I can put them the files in a particular order and then burn them to a DVD. I did try using Windows Media Player, but when I burned the dvd, there was no sound.

If anybody has any suggestions that I can use, that would be helpful!

The free part is where the challenge lies. Did you check to see if Windows MovieMaker was already on her system?

Sly's right...MovieMaker is where youre going to have to look if you want free software. Otherwise youre going to be paying a good bit for even fairly basic video editing software. I know my friend Devin swears by Vegas for the videos he has been making

Sony Vegas can be picked up on the cheap. Avid used to have a free express version of their Cutter software that you might be able to find as well.

Avid is crap. I loved Vegas when I used a PC. It's great. You can definitely download it less than legally for free.
