Great point after Mahr's rant. "If conservatives had a spokesperson." Obama can do the things he is doing (like Mahr says, as a 'celebrity') because there is no conservative on his level willing to call him out on it.

Not too surprising. Even left-wing mouthpieces like Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow have been speaking out against Obama's policies, but the small amount of coverage it gets isn't enough to outshine the man's celebrity.

My favorite part about his popularity is that he has a 61% approval rating even though barely half of Americans (at the most) agree with his various policy decisions thus far.

"I don't like his policies, but I approve of the job he is doing."
Sounds like an Obama voter to me.

Reminds me of one of the late night show hosts (Leno or maybe Conan) who, before the election, went around and interviewed people about why they support Obama. And the questions were using McCain's positions. For instance...

Host: Do you like Obama more because he's against abortion or because he chose Sarah Palin as his running mate?
Obama Voter: The abortion thing.
Host: What do you think of his running mate, Sarah Palin?
Obama Voter: I think she's a good choice. She'll do a good job.

Anyone remember this? Hilarious. I wish I could remember who did it.
