I'll be the first to admit that I've never paid much attention to the praise and worship music "scene" (can it even be called that?). I've just went to church, either enjoyed the music or thought it was ok, and then didn't listen to the music until the next week at church. However, this summer I'm doing the video work down at The Master's Inn so I've been looking up music to put behind the videos and I had no clue there was as much variety in the genre as there is.
With all that being said, who would you recommend? I've got some stuff I really like and others that I'm not a huge fan of but I'm always looking for new stuff.

campus praise band owns ALL.
that being said, most, NOT ALL of what they play are covers of the following: Fee, passion band? David Crowder band, Lincoln Brewster, desperation band, deluge, Delirious?, tim hughes, Starfield, Charlie hall, Chris Tomlin (not of big fan of his stuff btw...) and hillsong united.

I know they're covers, but every band has their own style. That's what I was asking about. Which bands are a style that you like?

I agree with that. There is a band from early 2000'a called Something Like Silas. Desperation Band is good but Hillsong United is the gold standard. Brentwood's band is amazing. They did a low key very of Marvelous Light by Charlie Hall that was like nothing I have ever heard.

My old church was a Hillsong plant and they did music from both groups. You can't go wrong with either one (United is more praise, Hillsong is more worship, from what I gather). I burned an entire CD of both their stuff and it's amazing. You really lose yourself in the songs.

Both are good but most youth are acclimated to Hillsong United.

Glorious Unseen is very good. I don't listen to a whole lot of praise & worship either, but I'm a huge fan of Delirious and Phil Wickham. I don't think you could necessarily categorize either as praise & worship, but if you sift through their songs, they have a ton of praise & worship stuff. A lot of the good stuff out there has a more modern sound because of Delirious.

I can't find any stuff from Glorious Unseen. I haven't tried individually but none of the torrent sites have anything.
So far, Starfield is my favorite that I've found.

We had this played at church a few weeks ago... It's a popular one, but I never heard it with the hymn inserted in the middle (I love it when worship songs do that). It's pretty powerful. I choked up, and I don't think there was a dry eye in the congregation.
Ive become a fan of Keith and Kristyn Getty from Ireland. they wrote "In Christ Alone" and have made a few visits to Liberty over the years

I just listened to the Starfield stuff for the first time today, and I really like it. At our church we sing Hosanna, but I didn't know it was from them. Their style of guitar play is very similar to Stu G from Delirious. Great stuff.

Starfield's version of Hosanna is the best that I've heard yet.

That's unfortunate. August 28th, would that be the block party?
