There's a group from camp that's about to go up there. I actually agree with shuk and don't like root beer.

Against my better judgment, I agree with Shuk and SJ on the despisal of root beer...actually, I hate all beer: Root, ginger, Bud, and Panda Bear (etc..)

Okay, this is no longer about Sonic and now about the nector of the lessor-gods, root beer. I can't believe there are this many people in one place who don't like root beer. It's amazing. And I've come to discover that the Food Lion brand of root beer is just awesome. And you just tell me, where else in your diet are you going to get sassafras? Nowhere, that's where.

I love rootbeer myself too. I probably would've gone if it were the weekend but not during a weekday as I need to sleep. I'm curious about the turn out.....maybe they'll have it on the news.

How can you hate beer, when you serve it? Who can hate the Miller's? Now the Yinglings, I can totally see why you would hate those guys

When I'm not drinking cider or sweet tea, root beer is my favorite soft drink. I love the following brands:

A & W
Stewarts
IBC (RJ once reported us drinking this in our yard, because he thought we had something else in the brown bottles)
Frostie
Dad's
Mug
Hires
Barq's (Tenn. Temple once banned this brand from campus because the cans looked too much like beer cans).

And a root beer float is out of this world good on a hot summer day.

I don't think caffeinated root beer exists.

One CFAW, a weekender told our RD that he would never come to this school because there were a bunch of us cracking open beers in the RA's room. We were drinking IBCs. It makes me mad to think this kid has probably told everybody he knows what goes on at LU and is giving us a bad name all because he's just an idiot.

One of the brands has caffein, either Barq's or Mug, I can't remember.

Cider, you need to try a two-liter of the Food Lion version.

Although I love root beer, I have had some freshly brewed stuff at a restaurant/brewery, and it literally gave me headaches and I almost threw up, it was awful.

I may buy some today! Does it come in cans? There's nothing worse than flat root beer.

Another root beer story...I couple of profs had a first-year faculty member over to watch the World Series when Kirk Gibson hit that famous dinger (Fumble would have known the year), but when the new guy walked in and saw the brown IBC bottles iced down on the table, he was sure it was the hard stuff, and he did an about face and was heading out the door--until we explained to him that it was only ROOT beer.

Did any of you ever live where they have drive-in restaurants where the featured item is root beer? Both A&W and Stewarts have these in West Virginia, in Parkersburg and Huntington.

There's an A&W in charlottesville that has it on tap. It's so creamy it is just falling into your cup instead of shooting out like a soda fountain.

Actually, Yuengling (thats the correct spelling), is a Pennsylvania based brewery and claims to be the oldest brewed beer in America. It was founded by David Yuengling, a 100% American.

All GMTM was trying to do was take a shot at the board's official short guy.
