Ed mentioned it in another thread but it deserves it's own. I've been watching on G4. Today is just microsoft I think. Splinter Cell Conviction looks pretty sweet.

how good or bad is the coverage on G4?

Right now they're just showing the microsoft presentation live. So we haven't really had anybody commenting on what they've seen. I like a lot of G4's personalities but I find their video game people annoying. They take this stuff way too seriously. Luckily I think they send everybody they have to this event so you don't get 100% seriousness.

just announced that you'll be able to stream last.fm through xbox live. Free for gold members. That'd be pretty cool while you're playing.
now they're showing some of the stuff you can do with sky network. That's pretty cool but we've already talked about it.
all movies through xbox live will be 1080p. I don't think that is talking about netflix though. I wonder if it's a 5 channel audio. I know with streaming netflix it's just 2 channel.

facebook partnership with xbox live. Seems kinda pointless. Just get on your browser. The one cool part is it connects your friends and their gamertags. So that'd be a neat way to find people on live. They're going to do the same thing with twitter as well.

now they're trying to one up nintendo with controller-less movement controls, if that makes sense, with voice recognition. seems like it's got a lot of potential but I don't know if it'll catch on. Called Project Natal.
edit - the voice recognition is in addition to a 3d movement sensor. So the sensor knows what movements you're making and can understand you talking. They got Steven Spielberg there promoting it.

ok, if this thing works like it should, it's gonna blow the wii away. I don't know how they'll compensate for the lack of buttons to push though, like with shooting a gun or something or walking. But it's got facial recognition. Dude just walked up to his xbox and it knew who he was and signed him in.

I can't even really describe what they just did. You'll have to see the youtube video. It was like a virtual friend. They were interacting and stuff. The chick drew her fake friend a picture and he knew what it was and talked about it. It was kind of creepy. It's made by Lionhead and his name is Milo.

Natal looked good but it doesn't look like my thing. I'm sure it will scare Nintendo quite a bit though. I'm hoping Sony has some good stuff to present tomorrow.

Sounds even easier to fake/bypass than fingerprint readers...
