A Sea Of Red

So as we all know Facebook shows a list of suggested friends - and usually I can tell there's a connection - mutual friends, church, LU, etc.

Recently I had someone pop up on my list of suggested friends. I know I know her from another board - her first and last name are a unique combination. I can see all her friends and we have no mutual friends. I know she went to BJU and not LU. We've never met in person and live in different parts of the country. She has not tried to "friend" me.

Any ideas how she would get on my list of suggested friends?? Curiousity is killing me.

Is your page not set to private? Maybe she looks at your page all the time or something, other than that I have no idea

Suggested friends could come from similarites between your profiles in categories other than friends, i.e. religious beliefs, hobbies, favorite books, favorite movies, etc.

Yes, my page is set to private. She can't see anything other than my friends.

I don't guess I've ever had this happen.

Well, I think I solved the mystery. It seems like it's kindof a 6 Degrees of Separation thing - or in this case fewer degrees of separation. Since she has few friends (20 ?) I looked at all of her friends and found that one of them is friends with some of my friends. Suddenly it was all clear!

Thank heaven we've resolved that. Now we can move on the the economic crisis.
