Funniest Movie Ever

This is a spinoff of the movie thread (see what I did there?). LUconn mentioned The Hangover looking really funny. So it got me wondering, what do people regard as the funniest movie they've ever seen? I have a horrible memory, and a movie won't come to mind unless someone mentions it, so I'll have a hard time thinking of what my answer would be. But I'm curious......

What do you consider to be the funniest movie, or best comedy, you've ever seen?

Three-way tie at the top for me: Dumb and Dumber, Office Space and The Big Lebowski.

I think I might have mentioned this on here before, but I just do not think Oldschool is funny. The Dan Band's version of "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" and "Lady" practically has me crying every time I watch the wedding scene in that movie but everything after that is just, meh.

I think I'd have to say Airplane then Coming to America.

Put me down as another who does not find Old School funny.......also, Semi Pro........what a waste of money.

I do like Tommy Boy & Billy Madison.

Also have to thrown in National Lampoons Vacation, European Vacation, Christmas Vacation, & Vegas Vacation.

All Mel Brooks movies: Blazin Saddles, History of the World Part I, Young Frankenstein. Even High Anxiety was halfway decent. SpaceBalls has it's moments.

Non Mel Brooks movies: Friday was pretty funny. Airplane, CaddyShack, Blues Brothers

Not Another Teen Movie is really funny too. I like a good Spoof movie. I'm Gonna Get you Sucka and Hollywood Shuffle were great from the 80's. Keenan Ivory Wayans did Sucka and Robert Townsend did Suffle. Eddie Murphy Raw is hilarious but the subject matter and language might be a little offensive (understatement of the decade).

Great call on 'not another teen movie' Scar...of all the 'spoof' movies, I think that one is the best.

Other favorites of mine:

-Tommy Boy
-Coming to America
-Happy Gilmore/Billy Madison
-Half Baked
-Office Space

I'm sure I'm forgetting some good ones, but those were the first to pop in my head.

Grizzly Man, hands down.

Also, Not Another Teen Movie was hysterical.

A few that havn't been mentioned:

This is Spinal Tap............... "But these go to eleven..................................... That's one louder."

All the Naked Gun movies. I crack up just seeing a picture of Leslie Nielson, and the charactor of Nordburt is the only thing funny about OJ.

The Jerk is a personal favorite, although I'll admit it's not for everyone.

Having said all that, I have to pick a more mainstream choice as funniest............... Anchorman.

I think Airplane and Caddyshack are the "Holy Grail" of the competition...

Funniest recent movies (as in, 90s and beyond), probably Dumb & Dumber, and Billy Madison...

Vacation & Christmas Vacation are great... If you want the best in black humor, you have to get Dr. Strangelove...

Actually, I found it funny too; and the ending was..................shall we say...........................fitting?
The only real tragedy IMHO was him getting his girlfriend eaten too.
