I don't know what to think.....

my cousin posted this on facebook. She's got a lot of kids.

but it's pretty much a horrible reason for having children. It's not like we're giving birth to Christians. And if we're in some kind of demographics war, which I don't really understand the point of, how about if we go and convert some Muslims. That's a 2 man swing right there. We'll be winning in no time!

I going to use this to show my wife we should man up & do the best we can each & every day to rectify this situation.

The reason for having children should follow God's teaching about procreation. The teaching to be fruitful and multiply is mentioned more than a few times in the Bible. Our purpose in bringing a life into this world should never be simply a reaction to the circumstances around us.

You're right. We can't influence or control the choice of whether our children will live lives in servitude to Christ. That is the work of the Holy Spirit. As parents, we are to be faithful to God as we teach them and train them in the ways of the Lord throughout our daily lives. This is no easy task.

yeah, so is having 14 just to go on social security and welfare and be taken care of by the state while being a burden to the rest of society because you are unable to be responsible for yourself and your actions. (get's my vote for worst mom EVER)
