Vice President Joe Biden, well-known for his verbal gaffes, may have finally outdone himself, divulging potentially classified information meant to save the life of a sitting vice president.
According to a report, while recently attending the Gridiron Club dinner in Washington, an annual event where powerful politicians and media elite get a chance to cozy up to one another, Biden told his dinnermates about the existence of a secret bunker under the old U.S. Naval Observatory, which is now the home of the vice president.
The bunker is believed to be the secure, undisclosed location former Vice President Dick Cheney remained under protection in secret after the 9/11 attacks.

I love Joe Biden. Can you imagine if he were president? There's no doubt that we would be in a large war over something he said. It's actually great that he pretty much holds the most useless position in government. Being vice-president is essentially telling your son that you need him to stay here and guard the house.

Besides the obvious retardation of the VP with the Pennywise grin, something doesn't make sense with that article:
The bunker is believed to be the secure, undisclosed location former Vice President Dick Cheney remained under protection in secret after the 9/11 attacks. (2001)
In December 2002, neighbors complained of loud construction work being done at the Naval Observatory, which has been used as a residence by vice presidents since 1974.
The upset neighbors were sent a letter by the observatory's superintendent, calling the work "sensitive in nature" and "classified" and that it was urgent it be completed "on a highly accelerated schedule."
Residents said they believed workers were digging deep into the ground, which would support Biden's report of a secret bunker, but officials never confirmed the purpose of the work performed.
How could the bunker have sheltered Cheney in 2001 if it wasn't built until 2002?

Why is it that just because Biden mentions that there's a bunker, that it's automatically assumed that's where Cheney was taken? He never said that, did he? And it's not like this is a big shocker. I would like to think that the not-so-secret residence of our #2 in command would have some type of protective bunker in it, seems pretty necessary and a no-brainer. But why does that automatically make it "Cheney's secret location"? That doesn't seem so secret to me.
These journalists are just being stupid about this.
