It would probably operate something like this:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090508/ap_ ... dance_flap
FINDLAY, Ohio – A student at a fundamentalist Baptist school that forbids dancing, rock music, hand-holding and kissing will be suspended if he takes his girlfriend to her public high school prom, his principal said.

whats more stupid, the rules or the person who agrees to abide by the rules and then complains when there are consequences.

well that depends on if the rules came from the chicken or the egg...
i mean, since he's only getting suspended for taking her, it's worth far more in the way of sympathy from her to take her, than to not take her and stay home as some other guy takes her. what does the principal care? he's married and not getting any anyways.

Since it's high school he probably didn't have much choice - probably had to go where the parents wanted him to go...

Well, if you compare it to the Liberty Way... yes, everyone (is supposed to) signs the papers, but when people are caught breaking rules, they complain. Yes, we're aware of them, but we're also forced to sign them to attend the school. So while the student will be breaking a rule... the church members are crazy for assuming prom = sex and alcohol for everyone.

I know. That, IMHO, is quite stupid. It does not! I go to a Christian school, and we have a Prom. What's so abd about it?

i am almost scared to admit that i have seen BJA and its not a bad place (facilities and stuff) and hey at least they get to compete against other schools in athletics, something the U wont let them do
and for the record i NEVER wanted to attend BJU, my high school basketball team played in a tournament down there a couple times and as team manager I got to go

i never complained when i broke the rules...i knew full well the consequences....you aren't forced to sign anything...if you dont' want to sign them don't go to the school.
the school might have stupid rules but the family is more stupid for signing them and then having a problem with the enforcement of them.
