I randomly found this video of this kid preaching against LU and Bible colleges in general. I think you'll enjoy it.

This kind of thing tears at my faith more than anything else in this world. It makes me want to completely disassociate myself with the church and Christian culture. I really feel a little sick watching this kind of stuff.

Furthermore, no one says that you need to go to Bible College to be a preacher. Maybe going to Bible College will teach you how to be a better preacher -- it'll give you some structure to learn how to preach, and learn in an academic environment what the Bible says, so you don't get to the pulpit in front of two other people in your mother's living room and make a fool out of yourself while trying to interpret the Bible.

I feel the same way...it really is sort of sickening to watch. It's such an ugly way to present God's amazing love. This is what happens when people put there personal "convictions" above everything else in there teaching.

Not an LU dorm

That's the first person I thought of when I read this. Sadly, my uncle (dad's sister's husband) is one of those preachers at a fairly large rural Iowa church. He's well known in certain circles. He told my dad that he wouldn't send his dog to LU...

my dad (a pastor) just watched this video and said this kid is an a.ss. yeah this is what my dad said. a pastor who graduated from univ of michigan and took 2 years of seminary courses at faithway bapists college.

i find it funny that he uses Paul

Paul who had the best education that money could provide

Paul a Pharisee of Pharisees

but no Paul didn't go to Bible College, yet Paul knew his Bible better then any other person in the world.... To get to where he was he had to have memorized a good majority of the Old Testament, and he wrote half the New Testament.... he practically made Bible Colleges lol

I get the feeling this kid never stepped foot on campus but took seminary (or more likely Bible Institute) classes online. And he clearly has a camera set up as he "preaches" to his roommates.

I am more sad than angry. It makes my stomach sick.

I didn't know that Magic Johnson had his own version of the Bible. Learned something new there.

And for the record, Paul did go to what passed for seminary in those days.

There are alot of those kind of preachers out there. Very legalistic, very sad. Pensacola and BJ produce alot of those guys.

I used to hear Lestor Roloff preach those types of sermons when I was in college 30 years ago. They made me sick then, and they make me sick now. He starts off mentioning that he dropped out of Bible college and he gets an "Amen"? Pardon me while I go

I think it's funny in the very same video he mentions fallacies.

Two classes shy of a degree sounds like he fell victim to the Liberty Way... but "praise God." I love that he's been working on that sermon for a LONNNNG time. Probably because he's becoming more and more aware of how ridiculous his sermons are. As far as flip flops go... I'm pretty sure Jesus didn't sport Sperry's, DocMartin's, etc. --purple sandals, probably not, but sandals or barefoot nonetheless. God forbid Liberty students go barefooted!
