This will, UNDOUBTEDLY, make me the butt of all jokes. I just finished reading the entire Twilight series. I hadn't seen the movie or heard about it being all the rage until after I had started reading..and now I see WHY everyone loves them. They were seriously amazing. I hated the movie, though. Soooo..my question is has anyone else read them? and if so, I am looking for something new to read since I SO sad now that I have finished these. Any good book series or suggestions? thanks

and let the joking begin!

I'm not a reader, but when I do wind down with a book, I find Duke-related books interesting, if you are a Duke Fan, that is

I was about to say the exact same thing, Twilight is just really stupid. Well I haven't read it but it sounds awful.

My prayer leader loves the books...
but I think he's reading to impress a girl.

my brother-in-law loves them. Although he reads like a million books and I don't think I've ever heard him say he didn't like one. Readers are like that. They don't ever not like a book.

My sister is like that- once in a blue moon she'll hate a book, but other than that....and, if you were wondering, they are EVERYWHERE in the house

I can't believe I'm going to do this...
I read the entire series. And liked it. And did it before anyone (relatively speaking) had heard of the series. And then saw the movie.
Yes, I do realize that I just handed in my man card on an Internet message board, so I deserve whatever I get.

I've never ready any of the Twilight series, but if you are looking for recommendations, a few books/ series that hit me the same way: (Fantasy): Harry Potter series (of course), Dune, The Earthsea Cycle by Ursula Le Guin. (Other): A Separate Peace, Catcher in the Rye, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, any Anthology of Calvin and Hobbes.

I own every anthology of C & H published, except for the all-inclusive Hardback, twin volume edition. Just couldn't talk myself into forking over $400 when it was first released. Its probably less now. Haven't checked. LOVE it though! Waterman is a genius!!
