So the USB port on my Blackberry Pearl is no longer working. Is there any way I can back up my data, without having to hook it up to something?? I know on a few phones, there is a way to backup your phone book over the airwaves, but I dont see any options on my BB that allows that. My service provider is Alltel.

hmm, does it have wifi or a microsd card? I'm not even sure if it's possible with those 2 but I'd start with that. Although, I don't think contact info is stored on the card. I can connect to my laptop via bluetooth instead of USB. Can the pearl do the same?

The alltel version of the Blackberry Pearl doesn't have wifi, but it does have bluetooth, which should enable you to download your data to a computer with bluetooth.

yup, try bluetooth and the micro sd card. also, check and see if its still under warranty. you may be able to get if fixed. you still need to back it up though.

The Pearl is such an odd phone in the BB family that it is tough to talk about.

buy a memory card. I have a pearl. I am not a fan of it. But you can transfer things over to your memory card and then plug that into your computer and back it up. You can get memory cards with 8 gigs on it.

Thanks for the feedback. Apparently my laptop has bluetooth, I just need to figure out how to turn it on now :)
