Major Awesomeness coming your way. There is a ultra-mega-reunion show with Huntingtons (original line-up pictured above), Ghoti Hook and Tantrum of the Muse along with reunions of local bands Speedy Delivery and Dodevahu. It's a benefit for Huntington's original drummer's wife who has stage 3 brain cancer. It's on June 13th in Philly. So make your plans now.

I pretty much zone out knowing something wont interest me when they start something off by "Major awesomeness headed your way"

I'm just wondering what the classifications are for ultra-mega-reunion....what makes something ultra-mega and what makes something just ultra or just mega....
ultra-mega-reunion = Ghoti Hook
ultra-lame-reunion = Newsboys with Tait

Exactly.
Do you remember the hidden track or whatever it was that they did where the only word was "God" over and over again?
the 43rd "God" I believe was in vain though...

i went and saw prophaghandi a few years back and it was like a heavy metal show...i was dissappointed...i was expecting angry anti militant punk rock...it was completely retarded...
If you read Conrad's blog more than just this one time (decapolis), you would find him to be very sarcastic and very funny. Check out his post about current events, zombie-style. http://www.decapolis.com/zombies-and-you
And yes, ValuePac needs to make a comeback. It seems the only band from that era that's still around is MxPx. Honestly I'm surprised Vroom isn't part of the ticket.

I think that reunion show they did a few years ago was to make the end of the band final. I thought I read (possibly on decapolis) that one of them was moving to India or something.
Conrad is an awesome guy. I spent a lot of time at decapolis back in the day and have nothing but respect for him.
Ghoti Hook wrote funny songs when he was around. After he left things took a serious and more rock n' roll turn. All of it was good, just in a lot of different ways. Even their cover albums. All IMHO, of course.
The Huntingtons were also something special. It was like The Ramones had come back to write new music for a while and it was awesome.

If I can work it out, I'll be there for this.
I never really liked listening to the Huntingtons other than live, but live they were great, especially when they would come out in full Ramones gear and wigs.

I saw the Huntingtons live in Lynchburg once. I remember at the time I thought thery were pretty good, but alas I remember nothing about them now...
