Do you stop for the big star, or the "hot now" light? Burgers and fries, or donuts and coffee?
So which do you think, overall, is a better place to eat?
Take into consideration:
Value
Taste
Atmohsphere
Service
and anything else that would make a place a more desirable eating destination.

Hardees gives me the runs.
Anytime I see the "Hot and Ready" light, I run toward it.
There's the difference

This was a lot tougher than it should've been. Two for $2.22, the Liberty discount, and the convenience of it in Lynchburg made Hardee's very appealing.
Still, I grew up 20 minutes from the original Krispy Kreme. It would be blasphemy to pick against Krispy Kreme, at least in the first round.

I agree with SJ. I'm loving hardees deals.. but I don't stop every time I pass one with a light on in the window so my vote is KK

I like Hardees (although I swear Im going to drop dead right after having one of their burgers), but probably one of the happiest moments of my life was when I got to have my first hot fresh Krispy Kreme doughnut right off the line in PA a little over three years ago.

KK is okay. But I don't have too much of a sweet tooth. I don't even like Hardee's from 11am to close, but for those glorious morning hours they serve the loaded omelet biscuit. And that beats any sugar ring.

BJ, you've GOT to get out more and live a little.

haha...I do. But I was up in PA for a friend's wedding and after the rehearsal we all stopped by a Krispy Kreme and we all got a hot fresh doughnut. I had had KK before because my parents would bring a box home from the store but I never had been to one of the hot and ready stores and so it was a real great time for me.

HARDEES!!!
5 dollars for a 2/3 lb combo with curly fries? Yep, my top pick for all of them. Too bad its not gonna make it past some overpeiced overhyped donut shop

I feel bad not voting for Krispy Kreme since they started in this area but I'm going with Hardee's. My parents remodeled their kitchen when I was in 4th grade so we ate breakfast at Hardee's every morning for quite a while. I really like their biscuits and gravy. Good burgers too.

The old timers will tell you that KK couldn't even make it in Lynchburg and had to close. How can a college town--with 4 or 5 colleges--not support a donut shop? (the Little Caesar's on Candler's Mountain Rd. used to be a KK before it closed).

Tough choice between two mediocre options. I went with Hardees for old times sakes.
