1 song - just one

So, I thought I'd try something.

Pick one song from your collection that is the one you most think the rest of the guys on FF should hear at least once if they haven't. It should be one of your favorites, but maybe something obscure that everyone hasn't already heard 1 million times.

So, I'll start. Out of the 813 songs on my iPod right now, I'll go with:

Jars of Clay "World's Apart" Live version from their Furthermore project.

I love this song and listen to it over and over even though it's almost 11 minutes long!

I will go quite non-traditional here...

One of my favorites of all time is White Heart singing Little Drummer Boy. Great rendition.

I'm up to 14,000 on my itunes right now....this is really tough for me b/c I'm a true music die hard...I guess Diamonds are Forever Remix would have to be it, just with the hidden meanings and clever lyrics

Love it, was one of my favorites for years until my cassette player ate the tape.

"Zulu Death Mask" by Deadbolt.

Kidding. (That one's for you if you're here, DD.)

Actually I'd say "Roads" by Portishead. I'm kind of like HMO in that I'm quite the music junky, but Portishead is one of my all-time favorites that is absolutely one of a kind. As popular as they were in some circles at one time, I still don't think they're popular enough.

Just started getting into Portishead...very different then I'm used to but I'm liking what I'm hearing so far

It's impossible for me to pick one song and I know I'm just picking this because I've been listening to them lately:

Foreign Language - Anberlin

I've got a little over 10,000 songs on iTunes so I guess I, like HMO and Scorcho, am a bit of a music junkie. My pick would be Cortez The Killer by Neil Young. It's really tough to narrow it down to one song and it would probably be a different answer on a different day but that's mine for right now.

The third album is a lot different and kind of "after the fact". It's good after you've digested the first two for a while.

If you really want to get into them, watch the DVD of their performance at Roseland in NYC. Legendary.

I always read great things about Portishead but I've never given them much of a chance. I'm going to do a little digging and see what I think. I'm always looking for good music.

I don't post much, but I can't help but get in on a music thread. My one song right now would have to be Re: Stacks by Bon Iver. These guys make beautiful music.

I like Bon Iver when I'm in the mood to just relax and have some quiet time.

I've been addicted to John Mayer's newest "Where the Light Is" project.

His version of "Free Fallin" is amazing.
