Prayers for him and his family and friends and staff.
Truthfully though, I've never been to the Texas Inn

One of my favorite stories was from when I was a Soph. at LU. My brother brought his new roommate (a preppy who had never been) with us to the t room. The guy asked for French Fries. The owner glared at him with the evil eye, and the lady behind the counter said "what does this look like #$%#$ McDonalds, We don't have no #$%^$^% fries". Ha ha. We laughed for ever about that. We had to leave and eat in the car because everyone in there was yelling at him.

Our thoughts and Prayers to the family.
Have many great memories (and memories of heartburn) of the T-Room.

My grandparents know him very well, one of their Christmas traditions is to stop by Texas Inn and drop off a gift for him and all the employees. Thats sad to hear

I have a lot of good memories of late nights at the Texas Inn. The waitresses were always entertaining to say the least.

Outside of education and sports you dont seem to have any LU student experiences. Obviously most are good for you to avoid, Convo, HallMtg, Curfew, Anal RA's, Eating at the Rot(Improved), Hearing countless announcements about the Center4ME. But the T Room? Thats worth going to at least once

I've eaten at the rot plenty of times. I just don't eat there when I have to pay for it. Training camp and DRFC I eat there multiple times a day.
Convo and hall meeting are two I definitely didn't take part in. I've never had the desire to go to the Texas Inn.

the T room is a must SJ...the food isn't anything to go crazy about, i mean...its pretty good for the price...but the experience...you can't beat it
if you leave lynchburg without at least going once just know your life would be incomplete...haha
sad for sure...but his legend will live one for years to come, I hope!

I can't imagine they won't stay open. They do a VERY steady business, and have employees that have worked there so long they could do their job in their sleep (and may have on the graveyard shift).
