I thought Id make a spot for everybody to talk about the Super Bowl commercials tonight. Last year's werent very good from what Ive heard so hopefully we can have some good ones this year.

Apparently there is going to be an Intel ad in 3D at the end of the 2nd quarter. I stopped for some snacks at Dollar General and they gave me glasses.

Nice idea, BJ. I am REALLY looking forward to seeing the Coke Ad re-do of the "Mean Joe".

They certainly can't be worse than the past few years...

And they are picking up right were the last couple of years have left off....

I rather enjoyed the Doritos commercial where the guy gets faced by the bus.

That Pepsi one early was all right. The Bud spot with the Clydesdale going to the circus was OK and the Doritos commercials have been decent. Otherwise it hasn't been anything to get excited about this evening.

I thought PEPSUBER was pretty awesome.

If you're unfamiliar with MacGruber, I could see how it would be weird, though.

I'm not and I was disappointed to see McGyver sink to the level of doing something that cheesy.

It's been a recurring SNL skit for the last two seasons. I think there have been around 12 of them now.

MacGruber is a classic.

They were all bad except the one about punching a teddy bear...That was funny....but seriously I thought these were the worst EVER

Haha that's what I was thinking when he said that....looking back and watching MacGyver I wonder why I thought every episode was so intense

They ran 3 of the MacGruber ads last night during SNL. They ran them at the start of normal commercial breaks so it wasn't obvious that it was even a commercial until he started the Pepsi thing.

Absolutely the WORST set of commercials ever. It took all the fun out of watching the game.

I found the "Im Good" commercial to be rather funny. I was watching in the Tilley Center (Student Activities put on a Super Bowl party) and I liked the reaction of everybody to each thing happening. I thought the Pepsuber commercial, and the "Fetch" commercial were amusing as well.

The commercial sets were pretty awful, IMHO. You had two that were halfway decent, the Conan O'Brien "it'll only be in Sweden" ad, and I busted out laughing during the 'gold4cash' commercial when MC Hammer appeared.

MC Hammer was pretty good but Ed McMahon looked like he hadn't eaten in two days. Kind of took the wind right out of that one for me.

agreed. The Budweiser and Bud Light commercials were good.
E-Trade was OK.
Mr. Potato Head was funny.
The Conan O'Brien spot was the best.
GoDaddy.com was trashy as usual.
Loved the line in the spot for the Will Ferrell movie where he said "Eat it Matt Lauer"

The Pepsuber commercial could have been good if it was actually funny. But it wasn't. Of course, I probably enjoyed the crystall ball commercial the most, so if that tells you anything.

Yeah, that was my favorite and it was one of the first commercials during the game.

macgruber is still awesome

and i think last years commercials were the worst ever, hands down...i remember hating all of them
