A photographer by the name of David Bergman took a ginormous panoramic photo at the inauguration with a shocking level of detail.

It was built from over 220 separate digital pictures, containing over 2 gigabytes of image information.

You can zoom in on any detail you want. Be sure to check out the look on GWB's face!

Gigapan is awesome. Saw this the other day and it just made me thankful all over again that I'm living in this digital age.

I like Cheney. Him in the wheelchair reminds me of Mr. Potter from 'It's a Wonderful LIfe'

For those who might be curious about what it takes to do something like this...

It was made from 220 images using a Canon G10 point and shoot camera (<a href="http://tr.im/co1j">http://tr.im/co1j</a>) attached to a Gigapan Imager (<a href="http://tr.im/co2a">http://tr.im/co2a</a>). The final result is a 1,474 megapixel image around 2GB in size. It was compiled on a MacBook Pro over 6.5 hours.

Ahh. I love it.

Ha!

Justice Thomas appears to be catching some shut-eye.

I'm more interested by the brown-coated man in the soundbooth who apparently has four arms. I bet he gets a lot of work.
