My COMS 488 professor was visibly frustrated when BlackBoard was having issues while he tried to go over the syllabus and our first assignment in class today

our blackboard sucks as well. Only 1 of my 2nd semester classes is showing up.

Wasn't a busy day for Scorcho. I was out today. 
Actually, I'm not a part of the group that handles these things anymore. Those guys work really really really hard and are incredibly good at what they do. If you guys only knew how complex these systems are. It's darn near insanity. Really.
Also consider that when you have a bad day at work, a few people may be affected. For these guys, it can affect thousands. All it takes is one mis-keyed letter in the right place and thousands of people are instantly unable to work. There are all kinds of procedures and systems in place to keep things like that from happening, but there's always a risk when you're dealing with computers and networks. Their jobs are certainly not without stress and I can promise you that they'd rather not be dealing with an outage right now.
Anyway, I say that to say that I'm sure whatever it is will be resolved quickly and everything will be fine soon. And, if it's not, I'm sure there's a good reason why.
