I just read the article about suposed TV viewing habits changing by age
(
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/con ... 90ea3a349c).
So now I'm curious how you FlameFans guys stack up. I'm at the point where I'm lucky to get in 2 hours in a week, but I do spend a lot of time reading on the net for info.
I can't change the poll but add the words ON AVERAGE!

It's either 6-8 or 8+. I have the tv on in the background a lot of times if I'm doing homework or on the computer.

Sports are a minimum of a couple hours each. That skews my stats.

Agreed, most of my Saturdays in the fall are spent watching college football. Other than that, the only TV I watch is Survivor on Thursday nights.

I love sports and watch them regularly especially NFL and College hoops, but it is rare that I get to watch whole games.

Now I feel like I should have made the options higher, but it's too late. I just assumed the study was aiming too high on average. So now my little poll is worthless.

I live on the internet in the office and check it occasionally at home. My cable contract (TV) is up in January and I'll probably cancel it at that time. I don't watch any shows and I DVR games, but usually end up deleting them before watching. Year by year, I find that I am watching less and less television.

If I watch two college basketball games and one hockey game, that's at least 6.5 to 7 hrs. So I guess I watch way too much tv.

As someone who made a living off of television for most of my adult life, I fall in the 2-4 hour category. Call it burnout.

I'm really disappointed that someone has yet to make fun of the title of this thread.

I didn't know if he meant carrion, or curious.
Initially, I thought maybe he was "coming out"- you know, not gay, but "curious"

I watch a LOT of television and I don't feel the least bit bad about it.
In fact, I'll probably spend the next four weeks doing some pretty ridiculous (by normal people standards) work at my house all of the sake of better television content. It's going to be awesome.

I'm easily at 8+. Is this including movies or just TV?

Watching TV is pretty much the only thing to do after I get off work. Literally. So yeah, I'm over 8 hours.

Hmm, and I consider you to be one of the more successful on this board...maybe that's the reason....

+1. I watch maybe four hours of TV -- it's on CNN a lot during the day, but I'm not really paying attention to it. I watch more streaming video/video podcasts in a week than I do actual "old media" TV.

This time of year...I watch way too much. If I am home...the TV is on. History channel, weather channel, ESPN, etc.
During the MLB season...easy watch 3+ hours a night.

+1. The Extra Innings package doesn't help my addiction.
