Since I finally found out more than two of us on here watched this show, I thought it deserved its own thread.

I like it better than The Office. I think it's funnier.

well, I don't like it better then the office...but its up there, thats for sure

the office has become trendy and people who hated it at first all of a sudden love it because its cool..which sucks

but enough of that...how i met your mother is freaking amazing...i love it (not you)

haven't we had this thread before? Maybe not. Maybe it just comes up a lot.


This is one of those shows that I watch occasionally. It makes me chuckle sometimes. I definitely don't go out of my way to watch it. I find Barney to be more annoying than funny.

It's come up but it's normally just me and HenryGale talking about it.

Not quite on the Office level yet but pretty funny--it's one of the few shows I DVR.

The Naked Man was quite possibly one of the funniest episodes of any show I've ever seen.

haha, maybe so...but it just is annoying as crap when people flat out say a show sucks, and then a year later they love it..

i'm still not getting why peopel think the office is HEEELARIOUS... i mean its kind of funny but its not a benchmark for comedy...

That's what I've always thought. The few times I've watched the show it always seemed like it was the same joke over and over and over and over. It could be different now.


How I Met Your Mother actually seems plausible, like most of the stuff could happen.

How I Met Your Mother has been our (the wife and I) favorite show for a few years now. I don't know what it is, it's just great to me. Tonight's episode was pretty solid. I also enjoy Big Bang Theory and Worst Week is growing on me. I watch Two and a Half Men but it's not something I can't miss. I definitely think the CBS Monday Night lineup is the best on TV. It's not up there with the old NBC Thursday nights from the 90's but it's still very solid. I'm ready for them to bring back Rules of Engagement mid-season.

Ok so HIMYM is a great show but The Office so freakin hilarious. My fav. comedies are:

1. The Office
2. Big Bang Theory
3. How I Met Your Mother
4. Chuck
5. Dorm Life (web show, every episode i under 6 mins....The Office like humor)

My favorite episode of Rules of Engagement was when Spade was dating the girl that made all the dirty comments. She was the "she" from that's what she said.

barney is classic!!! love this show.

I am shocked about all of you watching a show which is based around the consumption of alcohol at a bar and mass fornication by one of the main characters who in real life lives WAY outside the closet and against The Liberty Way.

wow i just realized i haven't watched a primetime sitcom in ages...i watch ELR/KoQ reruns but thats about it....

Man, how many times can you watch the same episode of Everybody Loves Raymond? I'm totally done with that show, though I never thought it was that great to begin with.

I have put off reading this thread, because I had not seen the show yet...but just finished, and Barney's songs were hysterical!
