Chinese Democracy

No this is not about who will be leading China into the next century it is a thread on an album that took about a half century to be released. Yep GUN'S AND ROSES new album is out!! So of course I downloaded it. (I don't care what anyone says I LOVE iTunes!). All in all it is not a bad album. It sort of mirrors GNR's career in my opinion: Starts out strong, has some great parts in the middle and then sort of fades away. AXL's vocals are still strong but I just wish there were more of them. Lots of studio work on the vocals but when he wails, he still sounds good.
The best three tracks IMO are the opener Chinese Democracy, Better and If the World which is sort of a different sound but it has a GREAT hook so it sticks with you. THIS I LOVE is also a good song, but there is not much between that and the previous good song. PLus it is basically all orchestra (Novemeber Rain where are you !!) and piano.
ALl in all not bad. Not great. But a really good solid effort. Now, about their tour............

China bans Chinese Democracy

It used to be the sex drugs and rock and roll that created the controversy for Guns N’ Roses – but now, it looks like politics has been brought into the mix of madness for the veteran group, with China banning their new album Chinese Democracy.
In conjunction with Al's post, what's the exact opposite of irony?

I believe that post is the exact opposite of irony. I'm not smart enough to actually think of a word, though. Maybe I need to read more books.
