I was unpacking boxes in my office today and found 2 gifts from the 1990s--one box (36 packs) of 1991 football cards and one envelope full of 1991 Topps Desert Storm cards. If anyone locally wants these, they are in my office and FREE to the first person who comes by to pick them up--DeMoss 3314.

The football box says, "Pro Set Platinum" but no mention anywhere of Topps, Fleer, or Score. The box is black and unopened, if that helps.

Whatever became of ProSet anyway? I'm sure somebody bought them out. This thread reminds me of why Mrs. Sly still complains about "that closet". Some day I will actually break out those boxes.

Pro Set went away. Not sure if anyone bought them.

They'd have done really well if Upper Deck hadn't gotten into the premium cards market. They had decent stuff (though they tended to print more cards than collectors really wanted to see). I had a Troy Aikman rookie from them that never was worth much of anything, compared to his other rookie cards.

Sly, mine are all stacked in archive boxes across the street. I've got hockey, basketball, baseball, and football from the 90s, and baseball from the 80s and late 70s. I keep saying I'm going to sell them all, but I never do.

ATrain, if you enter DeMoss from the cafeteria side and go down that long back hallway, take the first series of stairs on the left. Go up to the third floor, and turn right. Pass the 2 water fountains and my office is on the right (look for the Quiz Bowl trophy case).

If you get lost, look for Bryson and get directions from him. He lives on the 3rd floor.

pro set cards were some of the most worthless cards ever made. also me and my brothers bought the desert storm cards at a dollar store when we were kids...

but generally all cards of that era are generally worthless do to oversaturization of the market.

Nope...they're like baseball cards. If you had read the first post in this thread, you would've known that
Also, it was Saddam Hussein that was the Ace of Spades...it wasn't the terrorists, it was members of the old Iraqi regime.
