Dog owners

It's been that time for my pup for about a month now, time to relieve him of his manhood. His behavior is becoming what I would like to describe as unnatural, but we all know that it is very natural. I think he may have already ventured into the neighborhood on a prison break yesterday, probably seeking those distant barkings he hears when he's outside, so some neighbor may find themselves with puppies later this year.

Anyways, has anyone had any experience with the local spay/neuter clinic in Evington? http://www.endpetoverpopulation.org/ I've got an appointment on Friday, but it would ease my mind if I knew this place was good, and if it's not I'll just go to my vet and be forced to pay double.

No experience...but our vet at Peaks View did a nice job and the dog was not too sore or out of sorts. He sure did look funny, though.

You meet your vet out at the park? Are you sure you checked their certification?

I always get second thoughts about this. He sure would make nice-looking babies. I would have no problems pimping out my dog.

It Is really cheap at the Planned Pet Hood In Rocky Mount Va. Its an hour away, but it is only 55 dollars or so.
that includes the meds.

I know of three dogs to go there, including my own, all had good experiences.

This is a vet who chose to start her own practice to save people money. you drop your pet off and then pick them up at the end of the day.

PM me if you would like additional info.

My sister's brother in law got his female spayed a couple of months ago at vet here in town, she was about 2 years old, they found her dead two days later after the surgery. She had crawled underneath the porch and died. Family things the operation was the cause. So there is no such a thing as routine surgery.

I am getting a puppy this weekend so I am glad this thread is up. How much does it nromally to get a dog its shots and register it?

Register it? Ha.

Aren't you supposed to register it? Or, if you were, how much would it cost?

by ALUmnus
It probably depends on how far along it is on its shots and if it has worms.

I'm in Campbell county and registering costs like $15 I think. But it's not something that's really enforced and it's just a ridiculous tax.

I know. There's just really no other way to respond to such a comment but to make a joke.
