PS - Yes, I'm well aware that he corrects himself, but I thinks slips can be telling!

I posted it. But if you listen to the whole thing in context it was obvious what he was trying to say. That's something I would say if in a similar situation

i don't think it was a big deal. if you listened to it and heard the whole thing in context, what he was saying was mccain didn't call him a muslim and he was glad because he isn't

I don't think he was correcting anything. The point he was making was that he was happy that McCain didn't call him a Muslim. The way the video was presented took the entire thing and twisted it around.
