I wanted to start a thread with updates on the Gallup Poll.

Sept 7

McCain 48%
Obama 45%

And this is before the debates which IMO is when McCain/Palin will really shine and start to crush their tax plan and lack of experience.

yeah it was. I am sure the McCain campaign is very encouraged by this...but its still 2 months out and a lot can happen between now and the election. They can not begin to look at these numbers and get over confident...I think this is exactly what Obama did and has cost him a lot of support....

National polls are nice and everything, but they don't mean jack squat when it comes down to election day.

This is the only poll that really counts and right now, it's not looking all that great for McC and Sarah.

i'm not sure how accurate that is. I heard on foxnews (yes I know its foxnews) that CA could be up for grabs this year. I think McCain establishing campaign centers in CA further emphasizes that alleged fact.

Bah, it's all crap. The pundits were proclaiming Kerry in a landslide before the election and Bush won big.

The importance of polls is in generating donations. People like a winner. McCain's convention bump has been nice but its a long ride.

Real Clear politics does a nice job breaking down the pols.

Tomorrow I get to attend a Palin/McCain rally in Lancaster. Really pumped.
