Guiliani is completly ripping Obama apart. Pure classic.

At first it seemed like he was just phoning it in. It seemed like he was coming out of the gate pretty lackluster. But I think the crowd got him into the speech.

I don't know, he was kind of all over the place. There were some pretty good shots at Obama in there but there should have been more pro-McCain stuff. Hopefully Palin can make us forget about what Rudi just did.

They couldn't get him to shut up once Rudy got rolling. Great speech though.

Now let's see what Sarah has got with the spotlight on her.

They keep showing her daughter with her fiance. Smart move to not try to hide anything.

did they just show that woman getting escorted out on every station or was it just my beloved MSNBC?

Nada on ABC.

This lady is a sharp communicator.

She's done a wonderful job. Absolutely answered every question thrown her way. I love it.

Very impressed. Hope she wins this time and runs for Pres in 4 - 8 years.

David Gregory just said something I was thinking which is amazing - the future leader of the party.

her speech was great. I think she covered every topic that the media has been harping on and hanging over her head the last few days and knocked it out of the park.

does anyone else feel like the DNC was a pep rally or barak obama convention, whereas the RNC feels more patriotic and more about the country's future? I mean obviously there is lots of cheering and partying going on at both, but I just feel like there is a huge difference in the mentality of the 2 conventions

I thought she was good.

I could do without the attacks on the other party and Obama, and just sticking to issues, but I thought she was good otherwise.

yeah...I agree with Realist...but she was funny and I laughed...so I got over it pretty fast....

Between Thompson last night and Guliani tonight, Obama just needs to go home...

She did very well and just killed it, but we will see what happens... Obama gives great speeches but couldnt run a country.

"a mayor is kind of like a city planner I guess, except a mayor actually has responsibilities" lol maybe not exact wording but that was funny

Yeah that was great...

Guliani did more research for this one speech than most kids do their entire time in college... I dont agree with things he has said in the past, but that was incredible.

it sounded like a canned sales pitch....she's not polished yet...like when others read off a prompter you aren't sure whether or not they are....i knew she was....

but whatever....this election has become cumbersome....and she has done nothing to make me want to vote for mccain...

I have not seen it yet...but McCain's speech writers had to re-tool the entire speech for her...as they had previously written one for a male VP candidate slamming Obama and Biden. I am looking forward to watching Palin's this morning.

Palin was awesome. I don't know what mallet was watching.

One of my favorites: of Obama
...listening to him speak, it's easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform - not even in the state senate.

Also love this one:
This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting, and never use the word "victory" except when he's talking about his own campaign. But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed ... when the roar of the crowd fades away ... when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot - what exactly is our opponent's plan? What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he's done turning back the waters and healing the planet? The answer is to make government bigger ... take more of your money ... give you more orders from Washington ... and to reduce the strength of America in a dangerous world. America needs more energy ... our opponent is against producing it.

Here's a provocative and relevant article from our beanpot friends http://news.bostonherald.com/news/2008/ ... position=8

“It’s about 20 years out of date,” said Boston stylist Mario Russo of the Alaska governor’s ’do. “Which goes to show how off she might be on current events.”
Hard hitting news here folks. [badboys2] **** just got real [/badboys2]
