Did anybody else get a kick out of his speech at the convention?

He was by no means a cheerleader but he gave a lot of meat as to why McCain is ready for the job...and I liked the end when he said "John Bless America"

Joe is not exactly an inspiring speaker. Fred is an amazing communicator.

Fred almost sounded like an emcee up there. Great job on the rah rah to get them going. I can certainly understand why he replaced Rudy as the Keynote last night.

i thought lieberman had a good speech considering where he was coming from, but Fred was great. If he had been like that in the primaries he would have lasted a whole lot longer

I really don't think he wanted to be president. I think his wife was making him run. He took a dive.

I liked Fred's story about McCain as a POW....i think the quote was something like this " When John was asked to give the names of his fellow pilots while being interrogated as a POW he calmly answered, giving the names of the starting offensive line for the Green Bay Packers."

I honestly thought it was one of the best motivational speeches that I've ever heard in my life.

Then soft talking Joe got up there and basically said vote for McCain, even if you are a Democrat or an Independent. I am so glad McCain chose Gov. Palin over Joe for VP.
