I am extremely pleased with the announcement by Sen. McCain of his selection of Gov. Sarah Palin for the VP nomination on the Republican ticket. I just made a contribution to the McCain campaign. I had not intended to do that, but it was my immediate "vote" of confidence to the campaign in their choice to select a conservative candidate. Since McCain is honoring his pledge to use public financing for the campaign, August 31st is the last day to make a contribution. Also, there will be a McCain-Palin sticker in my vehicle. Who knows, I might even stick a yard sign in front of the house (mmmmmmm, check that, I don't think so).

I heard Sean Hannity make a statement on the radio that I agreed with. He said that Palin reminds him him of every woman that is in his life. I have been interested in the possibility of Palin as VP for a few months, and when I heard Hannity's statement, it made sense. Palin is a conservative Christian that reminds me of my wife, my mother, my mother-in-law, and the friends of my wife.
