Ok...I bought a plasma when they first came out and it doesnt have a DVI VGA hookup...it does however have a S-Video what type of quality could I expect using a S-Video hookup from my PC? I just bought one of those media center PC's and would like to use it for that....if I cant then I'll just get a LCD or something.

Serviceable, but not good.

I think S video is a notch above red, white, yellow, but a notch below everything else.

If it's anything like my plasma (which is 3 years old) it doesn't have HDMI input either.

Or a new huge plasma, it will have all the same inputs. The key word is 'new'. I'll take your old one if you don't need it.

Rent free....hard to talk myself into moving away from that right now...but yes those are all options....now can anyone tell me more about the Wireless HDMI? How is the quality from a PC HDMI to TV HDMI? Just like it would be from VGA?

Who else saw the title of this thread and thought it was about some Blue Hose student trying to find a way to pay his tuition this fall?

This is just one example, of course there aren't a lot of options for this out there.

New TV sounds like the best option, and plasmas and lcds are the same price when you compare like sizes.

s video like luconn said is slightly better than composite.
even most old plasma's however will have dvi. which most cards nowadays will have.

OK...I installed the new card and went from DVI to HDMI and it looks great on the 42in Plasma...even though it's 720p you'd never know...it's pretty sweet and the fonts/text is easy to read which I was a little nervous about
