They just updated it again but I wouldn't want to steal your thunder, El Scorcho.

EDIT: There you go, beat me to it.

While I'm waiting on the next update, it looks like the Dems have the House of Representatives, though they still need 3 seats to control the Senate.

All three amendments to the Constitution of VA will pass easily.

The local (to Lynchburg) representatives (Goode and Goodlatte) were both re-elected easily.

With four senate seats still to be decided, the Allen/Webb race is going to become key. Though it's still early, the Mo. Senate race doesn't look nearly as close with the R there in the lead. It could all come down to VA, folks.

All signs point to an Allen lead except for Carville on CNN saying that he has Webb winning it. Not sure what to make of all of it other than a definite recount.

MSNBC just reported that recount wouldn't occur until election has been certified. Certification takes a minimum of 10 days so there will be no clear cut winner in this thing for at least another week and a half.

Anybody have any figures on whether this is the closest race ever with this many votes cast?

Hang on, the 100% dropped back down to 99.18% with Allen still in the lead.

Something smells funny to me.

Now we've got 99.26% reporting with Webb back in the lead.

Allen - 1,146,952 : 49.36%
Webb - 1,148,750 : 49.44%

This is frustrating.

Looks like we're stuck at 99.26%. This is going to take a long time to shake out.

I'm done here.

they said Allen just picked up 1500 in one area, but the rest are mostly richmond area voters. That doesn't bode well.

I want Allen to win just because I'd rather not see Webb in there, but Allen isn't exactly my favorite. He's a good guy, but maybe a bit of a pragmatist. Did anyone see the debates? "I voted for minimum waige three times!" Who cares George, thanks for looking out for us.
