Thanks, JB. I fixed it, with your help! I remember being very impressed by his testimony in Convo a year or two ago.

Cain is a great guy, no doubt.

I just hope and pray that people don't say "Hey, let's vote for Cain, it proves we aren't really racists!"

You will never do anything to settle down the race hustlers. They have a vested interest in making sure that perceived "racism" exists, unless they're out of a job.

My hope is that people will vote for Cain based on his policies, not his skin color. I'm sure Mr. Cain would feel the same.

I think the outsider role helps Cain more than anything. I read an article since the debate accusing Cain of not being an outsider because he donated funds to some Republican candidates in the past . Imagine that a republican donating to other republicans. If his popularity increases he will without a doubt receive the "Palin Treatment" from the left.

Bottom line, I just totally disagree that waterboarding is torture.
Regardless if one thinks it is torture or not, we got the results we were looking. Better to have the enemy suffer for a little while if it means saving our citizens lives.
What results did we get from Waterboarding?

If you seriously haven't heard that even the leftist media has admitted that the intel we got for finding bin laden's couriour was from waterboarding (or a close eqivilant), then I really don't even know where to begin...

Sorry for the terrible spelling. I'm on vacation. :D

You are 100% correct my friend. The liberals will always tell you who they fear. Conservative women and Republicans who are minorities are on the top of that list.

Links would be nice... Glenn Greenwald, Andew Sullivan, and Marcy Wheeler have denied a role in waterboarding finding Bin Laden and are all leftist.

From the right John McCain has also denied it.

No serious person would consider John McCain as from the "right". He's been doing a great job expanding government for years.

Links would be nice. However as I said I'm on vacation, thus using an android, thus cannot post those. But then again, I really doubt that would change your mind either.

For one, I know that the White House Press guy Jay Carney did not even deny that the intel on the location of bin Laden could have come from waterboarding. If they believe its torture, why wouldn't they expressly deny that waterboarding was used?

This is actually pretty good news. I don't have a problem with Huckabee, but we must make sure that our field is narrow (10 or less contenders) so we don't end up with another McCain.

Well, Newt is just proving himself to be the typical establishment type I said he was.

Not that he even has the chance anyway.

Also, I must pat myself on the back for correctly predicting that Trump would not run.

Donald Trump: I won't run for president

By Michael A. Memoli and Scott Collins

Reporting from Washington and New York -- Donald Trump, whose public flirtation with a presidential run has overshadowed the early stages of the Republican primary race, announced Monday that he will not be a candidate in 2012.

This is actually my first post on the board, but have been reading all the posts for a while now. So hi to all. I personally feel as though the only person that would have a chance against President Obama, would be Allen West. He is a man that represents and holds what it means to be a true American. The only problem is he is not running, but staying a Representative of the Florida District he is in. He made a promise to that District to support them and the American People. He is a man of integrity just in that idea. Here is hoping to West 2016.
As of right now, the only person I feel might have a chance is Herman Cain, other than that I do not see the Republicans winning the Presidency in 2012. I believe that the Republicans will continue to hold the House and will probably pick up the Senate and take control there as well. This is just my two cents.

I kept waiting for the big punchline in that Ron Paul video...but it never came. Turns out it was actually supposed to be serious. Huh.

First of all welcome to the board!

One question I would ask you would be this... as you point out that you like Allen West and Herman Cain. Does that fact that they are both black have anything to do with the choice? Please don't misunderstand, I like them both too, but I think a lot of people are getting behind Cain simply because he is black so they can't be called a racist. (or so they think). I'm not accusing you of that, as I don't know you, I'm just curious.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm jumping on you, I'm not meaning to do that, I just think a lot of people are judging based on skin color rather than character, the same way they voted for Obama.

Also, for the record, I don't support a candidate at this particular time.

This is Bill Maher's theory. Good company to be in. I don't think it's true at all, I think that Neil Boortz listeners give Herman Cain the initial push, and when people hear what he has to say, they like it.

For the record, it's almost offensive to be compared to Bill Maher :D

I believe it's very true. A lot of the Republican base is tired of being called racist, so they vote for a black candidate just so they don't look racist (look at how many people voted for Obama in 08, same reason.)

Look, I'm not slamming Herman Cain, I loved him on Boortz's show. And I think he's a great candidate but look at former RNC chairman Michael Steele. You mean to tell me that Republicans didn't select him just to say "well, here's our black guy, so you can't call us racists!"

I realize it's pretty taboo to discuss this, but I believe it's a conversation we can all have.

I have to admit I did throw up Cain to win because he was black, the only reason for this is to win the black vote which is what many people are thinking. I personally do not know that much about Cain and I have been researching to find out a little more. I will admit I threw his name out because he is black. I am not trying to be racist by no means at all, but to many republicans the idea of having a black candidate paints the impression that there is a possibility to win the the Presidency, which is the dumbest idea in the world but it has been spoken. What it should come down to is not the skin color of a man but what he knows and what he can do, so on that note I would like to apologize for throwing Cain's name up there.
Allen West on the other hand, I believe, represents the true meaning of an American. He has the experience, he knows the constitution, he understands foreign policy, and he is willing to stand up and fight for what he believes. That is why I back West even though he is not running.
