I called it first...I just didn't type it here. Ask my wife. She'll vouch for me.

This was Damon Lindelof's twitter post last night after the show. Apparently he has been getting a lot of "Stop with the Filler Episode" tweets....

In one week, the conversation is going to change.

They drugged him up and locked him in a room. He's not superman.

did they ever explain how the ruski was able to stay alive multiple times? did they tell us that he is just a trooper or are they completley ignoring that as well.....my guess is the latter.

I've been wondering what happened to him since Charlie's demise. He's gotta still be on the island somewhere. That's the only reason they'd bring him back in the other timeline. Of course, a lot of things could have happened to him, what with all the time travel and exploding nukes.

I'm doubting the effectiveness of those sound pylons ON A TRIPOD. Locke could just grab a leg and freaking tip it over. No sonic fence. I guess it's a TV show and that's just something we should ignore.

So that was an awesome episode. Is Desmond constantly passing out in one reality and living his life in the other?

So the professor is now a rocker and the half brother of Penny?

No...not a rocker...he is a pianist. The rocker was Charlie, not Daniel. Daniel was a pianist very early on in the original timeline, but his mother, Elliose, told him he did not have enough time to play piano, he had to focus on his physics and studies.

And Daniel has always been a half brother to Penny. Even in the original timeline, Daniel's parents were Elliose and Charles Widmore, they were not just married. And Penny has always been Widmore's daughter.

Somehow Desmond is transitioning between the two timelines.. There is something to the fact that in the episode LA X (premiere this season) when Desmond was talking to Jack on the plane he had on a wedding ring, and then just "disappeared." And in last nights episode, he had no ring and was not married. There is no way this is a prop error. It has something to do with Desmond being involved in both timelines concurrently.

So when all is said and done, which timeline "should" they all be living? Will they all be the same?

how they plan on tying the whole mib/jacob and the time traveling/alt universe theories together has me def intrigued.

yeah, last night was almost a distraction away from Jacob/mib/candidates. But I guess the alternate time line seemed pointless before last night.

ok so one of the timelines is going to come to a screeching halt. the island is a portal/wormhole/blackhole to each reality. the DI built the key thingy to keep both realities from intermingling. blow up the swan site and now you have the 2 realities overlapping somehow.

as for jacob/mib they are the discoverers of the wormhole who have somehow gained their abilities. the ones goal is to keep the 2 realities in tact, the other is to leave not just the island but go to a different reality which in turn would result in something bad happening. we are not supposed to interact with our other reality/or oursleves in another time. it messes things up.

this is what i'm gettin ghere.

i have no idea how the whispers are people stuck in the island. unless they are awaiting the death of their counterpart in the other timeline.

You should know by now that your theories are futile.

That was kinda cheesy how they explained the whispers. It was just short of Hurley looking at the camera Zack Morris style and explaining it to us.

Interesting episode last night since it really didn't center around any one person. The story really seems to be dragging at this point and I was kind of hoping for something a little more fast paced for a final season. It seems like we've just got different groups on the island and they just shuffle around every week. At least the alterverse is a lot more interesting than it used to be.

I think they basically used this episode to position everyone where they need to be for the grand apocolypse that's about to happen.

agreed. 3/4 of the season has been crappy setup episodes. this finale better be as good as sex for this to be successful.

the story is becoming illogical. take jack. this guy seems pretty convinced about his role in some plan that he doesn't understand, bestowed by someone he doesn't know, under circumstances he isn't informed about and really doesn't seem to care that he's uninformed.

last night...jack and flocke

what are you
you know
ok i'm good.

a few weeks back.....hurley and micheal

what are the whispers
we are the ones who can't move on
FANTASTIC THAT EXPLAINATION WORKS FOR ME I WILL NOW RETURN TO THE OTHERS AND NOT TELL ANYONE THIS REMARKABLE EXPLAINATION YOU GAVE ME THAT MAKES COMPLETE SENSE.

There's a hole about the size of the island that he feels inside him. Something may seem illogical if taken at face-value, but that's not always the case.

thats no excuse for either not at all trying to extract info from anyone in the know or when trying to get info settle for vague pseudo answers that dont' mean jacksquat.

at this point i'd settle for not ever getting answers so long as the main characters actually pushed for them.
